Tomato Cilantro Lime Shrimp

  • Author: Liz

  • Yield: 2 1x

American Spoon has a wide array of savory products, including some awesome salsas. I thought this one might make a great shrimp dish, and guess what – it does!! Super easy and good enough to serve to company. Salsas always have at least a little kick to them and this one is no different, but the kick was just right.

  • 1215 shrimp, 26-30 weight, peeled and deveined
  • 1 Tbl oil plus a little more to season the cooking pan
  • 1/2 cup American Spoon tomato cilantro salsa
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • optional, fresh cilantro for garnishing

  1. Place the oil, shrimp, salsa and lime juice in a shallow bowl or a plastic bag sealed. Allow the shrimp to marinate at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Season a sauté pan with the extra oil.  Heat the pan to medium high and place the marinade mixture in the pan.
  3. Saute for 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp are pink on both sides. Flip the shrimp while cooking.
  4. Serve over rice and garnish with cilantro if desired. Enjoy!
