Quarantine Mushroom Gravy

  • Author: Liz
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servomgs 1x

Description

Another in our Pantry Friendly series…I’ve named it such to give a nod to these epic times of self quarantine and the search for simple yet satisfying foods.  I had a pork tenderloin, so I sliced about half of it, sauteed the slices until nicely browned and cooked to medium temp.  I served the slices with this gravy, steamed rice and a salad.  It was delicious!  You can also serve this gravy on pork chops, or most any cut of pork or beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 Tbl soy sauce
  • 1/2 can milk
  • 2 tsp Pepper
  • Optional:  sliced mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.  Stir well and heat over medium low heat.  Cook on medium low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring often.  That’s it!

Notes

Save the leftover sauce in the frig – its just as good the next time.  If you don’t have fresh mushrooms, canned or jarred sliced mushrooms, drained, will work as well.  I didn’t have any mushrooms on hand and still loved this super simple gravy – as did my taste tester husband!
